Köhler Group
Dr. Simone Köhler
Simone Köhler investigates the structure and function of the synaptonemal complex in C. elegans. She is an expert in C. elegans genetics and cell biology as well as in advanced fluorescence microscopy techniques. She has determined the architecture of the synaptonemal complex in C. elegans. Her work has revealed new insight into how this structure promotes and limits the formation of crossover events to ensure the formation of healthy oocytes.
