The INOB consortium focuses on investigating the molecular mechanisms of genetic quality control, DNA damage and repair in oocytes. The consortium combines expertise in the genetics and biochemistry of different model organisms (C. elegans, mouse), in structural biology and bioinformatics with expertise in human ovarian tissue and oocyte biology. The goal is to contribute to a better understanding of the mechanisms that lead to DNA damage during oocyte aging and chemotherapy/irradiation therapy and help to preserve female fertility.
